We had always wanted to see Andre Rieu the Dutch violinist and composer, so we decided why not try a coach trip which we had never done before.
It all looked straight forward picked up at 8am in our closest town then taken to Dover to cross the channel then straight to our hotel.

But no it was nothing straight forward at all, first they changed the pick up time to 6am still at our closest town, when we were pickup we expected to be in a full sized coach but no we were in a feeder minibus which was so uncomfortable with no leg room for my 6 foot 3 inch body.
the feeder minibus then proceeded to pick up at various towns along the way. it took three and a half hours to get to Folkestone to change to our coach which would take us across  the channel.
We sailed with DFDS from Dover to Calais and they  were kind enough to give us all a food voucher which was nice but food was not up to much really unless you really liked fish and chips.
